I AM NOT A DESIGNER. ----------------- I AM A MATERIALS DEVELOPER FIRST.
I spent most of my career developing fabrics for major sports and tech apparel brands in Portland, Oregon and Bangkok, Thailand. After nearly a decade in that world, I took a year off to finally pursue ideas that had been living in my head for as long as I can remember. Kitwork was born from a simple frustration: it’s almost impossible to find a great black T-shirt.
Most options today fall into two camps. You get cheap, low-quality shirts from dropshipping or fast-fashion brands—pieces designed to fall apart after ten washes. Or you’re forced into overpriced “luxury” T-shirts that offer no real innovation and rely on the same construction techniques used a century ago.
So I set out to build something different. Using modern textile innovation and the finest raw materials, I engineered a black T-shirt that:
- Looks newer for longer
- Feels exceptionally comfortable
- Fits the office environment—neither slim-fit nor oversized
I spent six months engineering the fabric, and another six months scaling production for launch. My goal has always been to create something genuinely new and valuable. And I truly believe we’ve built the best black T-shirt on the market today.
I’m proud to put my name on Kitwork and on our first flagship product, the Master Short Sleeve.
